AIMS
- The History of Law and Institutions mention covers in the first year all the subjects of the discipline (hourly volume of the M1 : 360 h CM and 72h of TD including 24h of TD of language). Thus, students will follow courses in the history of private law and public law. Cross-disciplinary courses as well as a disciplinary course in English are also taught.
- In the second year, two courses are offered: the first, History of Law and Political Ideas, has two options, one research, one professional option specialised in Memory and Heritage; the second, Historical, Philosophical and Theological Sources of Law, in collaboration with the Dominican University DOMUNI, is followed in Distance Learning.
TARGETED STUDENTS
- Students from law faculties or IEP or students who have followed a compatible course in other French or foreign institutions .
ADMISSION CONDITIONS
This course is open from the 1st year Master's degree.

STRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION
- The History of Law and Institutions covers all the subjects of the discipline in the first year, and operates a specialisation (research or professional) in the second year. 1st year: 450 hours of training: 8 subjects of 24 hours each, in the 1st and 2nd semesters. Disciplinary and language tutorials for a total of 66 hours. 24 hours of language classes in the 1st semester, a 24-hour English course in the 2nd semester.
Courses in prerequisite for M1 and for the course n°1 History of law and political ideas of M2;
Distance learning for the n°2 Historical, philosophical and thematic sources of law. Lectures and tutorials.
KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED
- 1èe year : common base, fundamental subjects in the mention. History of property, obligations, justice, political ideas, administrative law, legal thought, international relations, health and social law + disciplinary course in English. The teaching also integrates transversal skills (C2I level 2, introduction to job search).
- 2nd year, the course history of law and political ideas : common base of disciplinary teachings on the major notions and concepts. It offers students two distinct options: one oriented towards research and the other towards the professional field of memory and heritage.

- Be able to take a step back to approach the various legal problems offered by the judicial, administrative and business world .
