International political economy occupies a paradoxical position in the French social sciences. It is an essential field as shown by the omnipresence of notions such as globalization, money, international finance or central banking. Nevertheless, there is no institutionalized space in France for interdisciplinary work on these issues. We propose to set up a scientific association bringing together economists, sociologists, political scientists and historians working on international political economy. It would be an interdisciplinary association with researchers bringing their own specialties and willing to dialogue with other fields of research.
