Master's degree in Health Law - Law, advice and expertise in health matters course

Students in this field must acquire skills in legal methodology as well as knowledge specific to health law.

As such, the course aims to provide students with skills related to health law.

In this respect, the training aims at the acquisition of skills related to health law:

• A documentary research and legal reasoning
• A mastery of the health system in its historical, legal, economic and social dimensions
.
• A mastery of the main data of French and European health law (bioethics law, hospital law, medical liability law, pharmaceutical law)
.
• Ability to argue, summary notes, practical cases, oral expression techniques.

Admission to the Master's programme requires a law degree. Students must have sufficient knowledge in the basic areas of public law (constitutional law, administrative law) and private law (civil law, criminal law).

In addition, health professionals with a doctorate or equivalent degree may be admitted.

It is not necessary to have a doctorate or equivalent degree.

It is recommended that students wishing to enrol in the health law major have some knowledge of European Union law and administrative or judicial litigation.

At the end of the first year of the master's degree, the training will start with a second year comprising a common core and leaving, in a second phase, the choice for students to specialise in:

Students of the Master's degree have the opportunity from the first year to do an internship or a research report.

In the second year, the options public hospital system and legal advice to health companies, give rise to an internship or a research report. .

• The colloquia and « the health law Tuesdays. These events, open to students, allow students to meet with national or international specialists on a topical issue.
• At meetings with professionals. In the same perspective, the laboratory organises morning meetings with health law practitioners. These meetings are an opportunity to share and connect health law practitioners with the students of the Master's degree.
