Application procedures for a Master's degree

For students already selected for the first year of the Master's programme at the Faculty of Law and Political Science:

The level 1 MCCs adopted by AMU provide for the "assignment" of Master 1 students to a typical Master 2 course. This assignment is "decided" by the head of the field, after "consultation" with the heads of the courses concerned.

All students who have been selected for entry to the Master 2 programme are entitled to full access to the programme, whether they have been admitted to the main list, to the complementary list or to an appeal (including from the school board). This benefit is kept in case of repetition authorized by the jury. It is also retained in the case of a gap year, if this is carried out under the regulatory conditions. On the other hand, the interruption of studies outside of a gap year deprives the student of his or her right of access to M2.

Procedure:

• Student's situation: Student holding a Master 1 mention Law of the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Aix-Marseille University and integrate a standard course of this same mention
• Procedure to follow: Ecandidat
• Application dates: from 26/04/2021 to 09/05/2021

For students not selected in Master 1:

They do not have automatic access to the Master 2 courses in the field. Their access to this course is subject to an examination of their file. The students whose examination leads to admission will be added to the Master 2 students concerned.

In particular, the following are concerned by the selection process for entry into M2

• students who have completed a non-selective Master 1 course (or equivalent course)
• students who have followed a selective course at another institution or in another field of study;
• students who have interrupted their studies since the validation of their Master 1, except in the case of a regulatory break (see I., 1.)
• students who have been registered in the field outside the selection process, in particular for the purposes of a study period abroad.
