AIMS
The main objective of the Master's degree in corporate law and taxation is to train high-level business lawyers. This training allows students to optimise their theoretical knowledge and to develop new practical skills thanks to the intervention of numerous actors of the legal life. The apprenticeship allows students to obtain a real professional experience of one year. This gives the students the best chances to consider a career in business law. From the point of view of the content of the training, the emphasis is placed on a good command of business tax law, company law, contract law, English and accounting. From a methodological point of view, the proposed courses lead students to learn the concrete realities of legal life, through the realisation of a variety of projects;The students will also develop their research skills through the production of a dissertation for the end of their studies. By its directly professional purpose, the training allows, at the end of five years of university studies, to start a professional career in a responsible position.

LEARNING AND RESEARCH
Even if the Master's degree in business law and taxation is predominantly professional, the training includes an awareness of legal research. This takes three distinct forms:
.
- The teaching entrusted to academics is in direct contact with their personal research;
- The teaching of legal research is carried out by a team of researchers.
- Students, who have access to a wide range of first-class documentary resources, are required to produce a dissertation that examines a particular legal issue.
- Students are required to produce a dissertation
- Students are required to attend scientific conferences organised by the Centre d'Etudes Fiscales et Financières (see below) on topical tax issues (4-5 conferences per year).

INTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS
As indicated above, the vast majority of students are apprentices in companies during their Master's year (in which case in-company training obviously plays a major role).
For the few students who are not apprentices, the validation of the Master 2 Law and Taxation in the company is not required.
For the rare students who are not in this case, the validation of the Master 2 in Corporate Law and Taxation is subject to the completion of an internship of at least 3 months in a company, in a lawyer's office, an accountant's office or a bank's legal department.
Students of the Master's degree in business law and taxation can apply for all international exchange programmes offered in the business law sector by Aix-Marseille University. This partnership is particularly fruitful with regard to the City University of Hong Kong where 5 students are welcomed each year for an LL.M. at the end of their Master's degree.
.
SPECIFIC TEACHING CONDITIONS
The diploma is offered on a sandwich basis. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. The vast majority of them therefore follow the apprenticeship training (weekly alternation from September to May, then full time in the company from mid-May). Apprenticeship contracts are concluded with law firms, large local or Parisian companies, banks, tax administration departments and, more rarely, accounting firms.
