This professional master's degree is primarily aimed at training high-level administrators who will be required to exercise management and advisory responsibilities (financial, administrative, legal and management tools) within defense institutions (central administration, national staffs, international defense institutions (NATO)).

The École des Commissaires des armées, located at BA 701 in Salon-de-Provence since 2013, trains army commissaires, officers specializing in the common support of the forces (procurement, finance, human resources, legal advice, decision support, etc.).

Coming from universities, IEP or business schools, the student commissioners follow a two-year curriculum including initial military training, training as a military administrator and finally a specialization according to their army or service (Land, Navy, Air Force, Health or Armament).

At the end of their studies, students will join operational units or joint services in order to perform their duties as commissioners of the armed forces. They will be deployed on external operations from their first assignment.
