AIMS
The objective of the « Fiscalité européenne et internationale » course is to specialise in training students in the mastery of European and international tax law, in particular in the following areas:
- The mastery of tax in international situations,
- The use of international tax treaties,
- The technique of comparative tax law,
- The contentious management of a case.
Students must be able to personally update their knowledge and carry out documentary research on European and international tax issues, present their work orally and in writing, and work alone or in a team in French or English.
FUNDAMENTAL PREREQUISITES
Access to the European and International Tax pathway will be open to students who have passed their M1 in the Tax Law major and those who demonstrate, through their results in their previous course, a solid knowledge of general tax law from other Masters degrees.

The student must have studied tax law, European law and international law.
LEARNING AND RESEARCH
The European and International Taxation programme offers a choice of two courses: a professional internship leading to the presentation of an internship report, or the writing of a research dissertation;moire de recherche [research dissertation], which enables students who so wish to pursue a doctorate after completing the master's degree, after having received training in research as part of methodological courses.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED
- A perfect command of tax vocabulary and techniques;
- A spirit of synthèse in order to deal with a tax file to give the taxpayer satisfactory answers and advise him usefully;
- Technical expertise to help taxpayers with their tax choices;
- General competence to handle a tax case in litigation
INTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS
The diploma requires the completion of a dissertation supervised by a teacher or an individual work placement supervised by a work placement supervisor from the host company.
SPECIFIC TEACHING CONDITIONS
Teaching is carried out on an initial or continuing training basis, but not on a sandwich or apprenticeship basis. Students are expected to participate by providing written and oral work.

The professional fields covered by the Master's degree in Tax Law are particularly diverse and numerous in both the private and public sectors: tax lawyer, notary, lawyer, public finance inspector, international corporate lawyer, lawyer for local authorities, non-profit organisations, wealth consultant, financial audit and control, etc.
