Training and apprenticeship

The alternation defines a rhythm of study and a mode of transmission. It is characterized by a succession of periods of knowledge acquisition at the FDSP and in the field, in a host structure.

Concerned about the professional integration of its students, the FDSP has, in the space of 10 years, more than tripled the number of its work-study programs, as well as its enrolment, which now exceeds 600 students.

Combining theoretical teaching and professional application, these 17 excellent courses, present in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, at the Bachelor's and Master's level, allow students to acquire real experience that will facilitate their integration into the world of work.

In collaboration with the Epure Méditerranée inter-university CFA and the professional branches, the FDSP offers a variety of career opportunities ranging from insurance to banking, including environmental and corporate governance, real estate, taxation, accounting, urban planning, and transportation.

The deployment of ISO 9001 certification for work-study courses is a real guarantee of quality, as is already the case for the Master's degree in Banking Law and Asset Management,

Not only does work-study training constitute a real gateway to employment and professional integration for students, but it also contributes to the economic development of our region.

  • For the student

The work-study program allows the student to :

    • choose a high-level diploma course that meets the needs of companies from a wide range of professions
    • benefit from a personalized quality follow-up throughout the training by the Apprentice Master / Company Tutor and the University Tutor
    • study at the University while gaining initial experience in the workplace
    • to be financially independent and to start contributing to your future (retirement, unemployment).
    • to be operational as soon as they finish their studies and enable them to make numerous contacts
  • For the company

The work-study program is an opportunity for the company to :

    • test a future employee in educational progress, as part of a pre-hiring strategy
    • make the choice of investing in training for the future
    • enter into a partnership with the University and make its needs heard
    • have a pool of highly skilled candidates for future recruitment needs.
    • anticipate retirements while ensuring the maintenance and transfer of skills.
    • develop partnerships to optimize its territorial influence and attractiveness
    • enhance its employer brand
    • benefit from financial aid and exemption from social security contributions

Apprenticeship contract

The apprentice has a double status of student - employee (initial training).

As such, they sign an employment contract with an employer (in the form of a CERFA) while retaining access to the services set up by the university (CROUS) as well as, under certain resource conditions, to family benefits (CAF) or social benefits (unemployment).

They have all the rights and duties of a company employee and contribute to their pension.

Apprentices are exempt from paying university tuition fees, in accordance with the French Labour Code.

They also receive support from the CFA (help with their driving licence, first equipment, etc.). The FDSP's partner in managing apprenticeship contracts is the CFA EPURE Méditerranée.

The student is accompanied throughout his or her contract by a university tutor when in training and by an apprenticeship master when in the company.
