Every year, the Association laïque pour l'éducation, la formation, la prévention et l'autonomie (Alefpa) awards two €1,500 prizes for doctoral theses. The work must concern people experiencing social difficulties or with a physical, intellectual or psychological disability. They will deal with education or training, support methods, care, exclusion factors, the limits of institutional care... In particular, they will look at ways of promoting prevention, collective solidarity and its tools, and the empowerment of these groups and their status as citizens in society.
