I Summary presentation of the scheme
Axa Research Fund funds basic research projects dedicated to a better understanding of risks, threats and societal challenges, in the following areas: Health, Environment, and Socio-Economics.
To this end, the AXA Chairs call for proposals has been launched.
Its objectives include :
- The creation of a full-time academic position within an institution
- Supporting the consequent acceleration of the development of a research field
- Promoting a major change in the career of the selected AXA Professor
An AXA Chair is granted for a maximum of 5 years, at a maximum of 200,000 euros per year.
The candidate must have held a PhD for at least 10 years at the time of application.
The Chairholder must be a senior researcher with a proven track record of outstanding achievements.
The research project must demonstrate scientific originality and innovative aspects. All selected projects must start within 9 months of the Chair's approval.

-short CV (3 pages maximum) of the prospective Chairholder including their h-index and a link to an online detailed CV.

project description (3000 characters including spaces)

Only one application may be submitted per institution.
Only the institution can submit the selected project on the AXA platform.
Applications from research units wishing to respond to this call for proposals must be returned electronically in WORD format, no later than Friday, October 7th, before 12:00 noon,
