This dossier focuses on the frameworks (political, social and material) of peace negotiations. The focus is less on the finality and outcome of these negotiations (ceasefire, truce, peace agreement, access to a humanitarian corridor, hostage release, etc.) than on their modalities and progress. We are thus interested in the process of institutionalizing the frameworks of interaction that enable the opening of negotiations and their subsequent progress. The working hypothesis put forward is that the political, social and material conditions of negotiations influence the negotiated content, behaviors, strategies and expectations of the actors involved.
