Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the most far-reaching issues facing contemporary society. It is clear that AI will undoubtedly influence various aspects of life, society and professions, including information and communication. The aim of this international, interdisciplinary symposium is to stimulate debate and reflection on the appropriation of AI by the Information and Communication Sciences (ICS). The aim is to take stock of the epistemological changes brought about by AI in CIS disciplines and fields of research. It will also provide an overview of the uses that information and communication professionals (librarians, archivists, journalists, museologists, communicators, etc.) are making or could make of AI in the exercise of their profession. Finally, it will explore the current and emerging issues raised by AI for CIS.
