"The FORESTT Priority Research Program and Equipment (PEPR) is an ambitious interdisciplinary research program on the socio-ecological transition of forestry systems in temperate, Mediterranean and tropical zones. It is situated upstream of many of the supports provided by France 2030 to the forestry-wood industry along the research-training-development-innovation continuum, but also aims to bring to fruition synergies between the academic world and the socio-economic sector to address the issue of the adaptation and resilience of forest socio-ecosystems to global change.
Its objectives are (i) to federate, structure and perpetuate integrated research to accompany changes in forest socio-ecosystems, (ii) to promote systemic approaches, interdisciplinarity and co-construction with stakeholders, (iii) to strengthen initial and continuing training capacities, and (iv) to propose and experiment with innovative trajectories for adaptive management, restoration and conservation of forests".
