    Created in 2005, the M2 Land Transport Law and Management aims to train multi-skilled executives, well versed in law, management and service activities in the road, rail and waterway transport sector for goods and passengers. (transport organising authorities, transporters, logisticians, forwarding agents, operators of land infrastructures (roads, railways, stations, river ports), transport experts, transport insurers, specialised law firms).

    The training is characterised by a high level of expertise in the field of transport and the management of services.

    The training is characterised by its very strong interaction with the professional environment and by its multidisciplinary character (combining law and management).

    The training is open to initial training, continuing education and alternating training (apprenticeship contracts and professionalization contracts) with the CFA Épure Méditerran&e.

    Perpetuating the tradition of research in maritime law at the Faculty of Law of Aix-en-Provence, the M2 DMAM has strong links with research. This link is reflected in particular by the particular care taken with the documentary collection of the Library where the students work (which constitutes one of the most important documentary collections of the University);The students' participation in the colloquiums organised by the Faculty of Law and Political Science's Transport Department.

    Research and support entities:

    The training is supported by the Pôle Transports (CDMT and IFURTA) of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, which leads and coordinates the maritime, aviation and transport law team of the Centre de Droit Économique (EA n° 4224, AMU).

  • PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED

    • The graduate masters the law of land transport of goods and passengers. He is the guarantor of the application of these rules in the drafting of contracts binding the various actors in land transport
    • He masters the various aspects of the economy and management (strategy, organisation, finance, marketing, human resources) of land transport of goods and passengers, enabling him/her to carry out the functions of a multi-skilled manager in the companies of the sector.
    • He masters the rules of safety and security in the various modes of land transport of passengers and goods, enabling him/her to participate in the control of these standards and their application in the companies.
    • He/she is familiar with the provisions relating to transport insurance, enabling him/her to prepare a claims management file. He/she shall master the rules relating to international sales with a view to determining the best transport costs and schedules.
    • It advises the company related to land transport (rail, road, river) and logistics activities, as to the negotiation and drafting of contracts with the various actors of the transport chain;
    • It advises the company on the social regulations of transporters (effective working hours in road transport, knowing how to apply the regulations on driving times and rest periods)
    • He/she will be able to understand the procedures that the various agents in the transport chain will have to apply in order to comply with the legal and contractual requirements of land transport and logistics law;
    • He is able to conduct an innovative process that takes into account the complexity of a situation using information that may be incomplete or contradictory
    • He is capable of leading a project (design, steering, implementation and management, evaluation and dissemination) which may mobilise multidisciplinary knowledge

Après un premier Master 2 droit de l’Union européenne et un semestre d’échange international au Canada à l’université d’Ottawa pour valider un L.LM Droit international, j’ai rejoins le M2 droit des transports terrestres car j’avais déjà étudié le droit aérien et le droit maritime en M1 et M2. Ces matières me plaisaient bien, notamment le droit maritime car j’ai toujours aimé la mer et le monde maritime. De plus, le M2 s’ouvrait cette année là à l’alternance. C’était pour moi le meilleur moyen de m’insérer sur le marché du travail. J’ai effectué cette année d’alternance au sein du Garex, G.I.E spécialisé dans l’assurance des Risques de guerre et assimilés maritimes et Transport comme Assistante de souscription Risques de guerre maritimes et Transport. Mon mémoire portait sur « La définition des Risques de guerre et assimilés en assurance maritime et Transport ». A la fin de mon contrat d’alternance, j’ai occupé un poste d’assistante de souscription pendant 3 ans. Depuis mai 2019, je suis souscriptrice Risques de guerre et assimilés Facultés au sein du Garex.
