Aix-Marseille Université's disability mission welcomes and supports students with physical, sensory or psychological disabilities, dyslexia or long-term disabling health conditions. It offers appropriate measures for each student throughout his or her university career.
-
Step 1: Register with Mission Handicap
It is very important to notify Mission Handicap as soon as possible so that study and examination arrangements can be put in place as quickly as possible. Students must notify Mission Handicap no later than six weeks before the exam for which accommodation is required.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, the deadlines for notifying Mission Handicap are as follows:
- 1st semester : Licence November 23, 2024; Master November 30, 2024
- 2nd semester Bachelor's degree March 22, 2025; Master's degree April 19, 2025
-
Step 2: Make an appointment with a doctor from the Student Health Service (SSE)
A medical check-up with the SSE is essential if you wish to benefit from special exam arrangements or study adaptations. During the medical examination, the doctor will study your situation and the information contained in your medical file, and will issue an opinion recommending the adjustments he or she deems necessary.
Please note: no adjustments will be made to your course of study without a recommendation from the university doctor.
-
Stage 3: the Personalized Plan for Higher Education (PPES)
The PPES specifies the accommodation measures that will be put in place for the university curriculum, ongoing tests, exams and competitive examinations, in line with the recommendations made by the SSE doctors.
A multi-disciplinary team meeting is organized for more specific accommodation needs. This brings together the student, the FDSP disability advisor, the training manager, the SSE doctor, the Mission handicap managers and the schooling department.

At the start of each academic year, the Aix-Marseille University High-Level Sports Commission meets to decide on applications for SHN-AMU status, which entitles the holder to certain curricular adjustments. Don't forget to submit your application before the deadline set by the University.
-
Step 1: e-candidat platform
To apply for SHN-AMU status, you will need to create an account on E-candidat.
-
Step 2: Fill in the supporting documents
Upload all supporting documents according to your SHN status on the platform:
- List 1: athletes on ministerial lists;
- List 2: athletes with a proven track record;
Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
-
Step 3: Submit your application
Once your application is complete, submit it to the Aix-Marseille University High-Level Sports Commission for consideration on "the deadline set by the University".
-
Step 4: Defining the right fittings
Once SHN-AMU status has been granted, the student will be interviewed by the FDSP's SHN advisor to determine the most appropriate curriculum adjustments.
Please note: the granting of SHN-AMU status is based on sporting achievements and training constraints. Students registered on ministerial lists, or belonging to a training center or a training center of a professional club, are eligible for List 1 SHN-AMU status.
Athletes who do not qualify for this status, but who have a substantial sporting record (national or inter-regional elite) and significant training constraints, are eligible for SHN-AMU List 2 status.
At the start of each academic year, the Aix-Marseille University High-Level Artists Commission meets to decide on applications for the status entitling students to certain curricular adjustments. Don't forget to submit your application before the deadline set by the University.
-
Step 1: Fill out the application form
To apply for this status, complete the application form downloadable from the website: https: //www.univ-amu.fr/fr/public/artistes-de-haut-niveau
-
Step 2: Submit your application by the deadline set by the University
Application forms should be sent to the following address: dcs-culture@univ-amu.fr. Applications will be examined by the Aix-Marseille Université High-Level Artists Commission in early October.
-
Step 3: Defining the right fittings
Once this status has been granted, the student is interviewed by the FDSP advisor to determine the most suitable course arrangements.
Please note: the granting of this status is not automatic. It is reserved for students whose strong involvement in an artistic activity could justify special study arrangements.
Certain students who are unable to devote themselves full-time to their studies may also apply for an RSE, which entitles them to certain curricular adjustments.
Eligible students include students in preparatory classes for the grandes écoles, students with a professional activity, students involved in university, student or community life, student volunteers in civic service, student volunteers in the armed forces, student operational reservists, student volunteer firefighters, students with families, pregnant students, students involved in several courses of study, students doing long internships, students with special educational needs.
