The dissolution of the National Assembly by French President Emmanuel Macron on June 9, 2024 appears to be a major event in the Fifth Republic, the scope and consequences of which have yet to be fully assessed. To study the anatomy of dissolution is to dissect certain legal and political manifestations with which it can be associated, in order to make visible and analyze - as closely as possible - the characteristic ways in which power is exercised, their consequences for rights and freedoms, and the legal discourses that are developed to justify them. The Centre de théorie et d'analyse du droit (CTAD), as it has done in the past, proposes to open the discussion on these topical issues.
