I Framework of the program (as per DRV e-mail mentioned above)
Starting this year, the Axa Research Fund Chairs Call for Projects program will specifically support transdisciplinary research, fostering collaboration across disciplines and with stakeholders in society to address complex contemporary challenges.
The program aims to advance understanding of the key risks facing people, societies and the planet by bringing together different academic fields and societal stakeholders.
Proposals should be submitted in one of the following two categories:
1. Global category, which supports international and transdisciplinary research networks addressing major risks and challenges related to risks to human health and well-being, to societies and/or to the planet.
2. Santé en France category, which exclusively supports research projects hosted by French academic institutions or public research organizations, focusing on risks to human health and well-being in France and in a broader international context.
The transdisciplinary research project must:
1) integrate at least two distinct academic disciplines, including:
- at least one from the social sciences / humanities / economics
- at least one from the natural sciences / engineering / technology;
2) substantially involve non-profit social partners (public authorities, communities, civil society organizations, practitioners) in co-design, co-development and co-implementation throughout the project life-cycle.
The objectives of an Axa Chair include :

- The promotion of a major change in the career of the selected AXA Professor.
The research project must demonstrate scientific originality and innovative aspects.
