The junior colloquia are a response to the desire for scientific innovation, but also to a desire to reinforce the professionalization of doctoral training with a view to integration into the Franco-German job market, whether academic or non-academic. The junior colloquia differ from traditional colloquia in their format (limited to one or two days) and in their objective: the organization aims to encourage interdisciplinary discussion around presentations by young researchers, each lasting 20 to 40 minutes on average.
