I Summary of the scheme
As part of the Schéma Régional de l'Enseignement Supérieur, de la Recherche et de l'Innovation, the PACA Region has launched the "Jeunes Docteurs Innovants 2024" call for projects. The main aim of this experimental scheme is to bring together the worlds of business and academia.
In partnership with regional teaching and research establishments, the Region would like to encourage the creation of companies and the transfer of technologies by young doctors, by enabling them to benefit from a status, financing and support to bring their project to fruition.
This scheme is aimed at young PhDs who have defended their thesis in the Region for less than 3 years, whether they have been awarded a Young Doctoral Job (EJD) by the Region or funding through a research contract.
Regional funding will cover 75% of the total cost for 12 months' salary (based on €45,000 per year), up to a maximum of €33,750 per project. Co-financing must be provided by the partner laboratory or company and identified when the application is submitted.

A Formalities
Completed applications must be sent to DRV no later than Friday June 21, 2024. No applications will be accepted after this date.
Applications must be forwarded to the Region no later than 25/06/24 for submission to the Regional Assembly for approval at the end of October 2024.

All applications sent directly to the Region by laboratories or applicants will be rejected.
