The symposium Catalysing worlds: towards a deepening of territories through agriculture is based on the premise that architecture and agriculture are two practices with specific relationships to the environment, and that both therefore shape our ways of living. The aim of this project is to explore the prospects and modalities for updating the links between these two practices, at a time of urgent reconnection with living environments. At a time when, in France in particular, for more than 60 years, the logic of food production and cultivation has been increasingly disconnected from soils and ecosystems, we believe that we need to deepen our relationship with territories, and that this must involve recognition of the fundamental role of agriculture, in conjunction with architecture.
