Developments in biomedical sciences and technologies have led to a commodification of the human body, transformed into a resource for technoscientific uses, and to the emergence of a "digital body" linked to the dataisation of individuals. This transformation is accompanied by a shift towards predictive and ameliorative medicine, and a conception of the body as biological capital to be optimized, influenced by the idea of human perfectibility. The seminar explores this issue by mobilizing interdisciplinary perspectives in computer science, philosophy, law, history and sports science, questioning the protection and essence of the human person.
