The covid-19 pandemic has reactivated solidarity of all dimensions in the face of health perils; the climate crisis is forcing the institution of solidarity policies; finally, the various inequalities, whether economic, social or geographical, are calling for a rethink of solidarity not only between members of society, but also within territories. For all these reasons, we felt it necessary to examine the current variations in territorial solidarity(ies) in order to provide answers to three central questions: How can territorial solidarity be defined today? How are local players using this lever, and what are the consequences for territories?
