In the digital age, online platforms collect and exploit huge quantities of personal data, profoundly influencing social, economic and political dynamics. Yet their opaque operation limits access to the information essential for analyzing their mechanisms and measuring their impact. These infrastructures act like black boxes, making the study of their practices particularly complex. The DATARights seminar will examine the right of access to personal data as a lever for transparency, particularly in the context of scientific research. The seminar will bring together researchers and experts from various disciplines to examine the concrete uses of this right, its limits and the challenges linked to its collective exercise in the face of algorithmic and data governance issues.
