How does one become an activist? Is there such a thing as "militant knowledge", and if so, what are its characteristics? How does knowledge acquired "on the job" over the course of activist experience - and by definition not easily identifiable - challenge pre-existing knowledge, overturn worldviews, and even radically alter activists' relationship to knowledge? These questions will be addressed on the basis of research into militant experience and militant training.
