The goal of this fall school is to create and facilitate a network of doctoral and postdoctoral researchers working on topics related to aging in the humanities and social sciences. The school is designed to serve as a premier forum for discussing the issues and challenges in the field of research on aging and old age, adopting a resolutely multidisciplinary approach. Issues related to longevity, forms of aging, and the aging process are addressed through the lens of life courses, needs, and aspirations, in all their diversity. The school’s sessions are designed to introduce early-career researchers to the many conceptual and methodological advances emerging from the various themes within this field of research.
