A team composed of lawyers from the François Gény Institute and two economists (from Ladyss and CES) conducted, between May 2020 and May 2022, a research financed by DARES and France Stratégie on the evaluation of the "Labor" ordinances, More specifically, the research concerned the ordinance on the predictability and security of labor relations, which includes compensation for dismissal without real and serious cause, other changes to the rules of dismissal, collective performance agreements (CPA) and collective bargaining agreements (CBA).
The final report was submitted in June 2022 and will soon be available in the Dares "Rapports d'études" collection. The objective of this study day is, in addition to presenting the main results of this research, to determine how, in law but also in economics and management, to scientifically evaluate standards, i.e. with which methodologies. It may also be to specify, beyond the legislator alone, to whom this evaluation may be useful (Court of Cassation, legal and economic doctrine, legal practitioners, trade unions, etc.).
This study day will therefore be an opportunity to present the various research methods used, whether they concern litigation, company agreements, or data on employment management in companies; and to determine in what way and how these methods can be used to construct an authentic scientific evaluation of standards.
