Announcement Calenda 1131928

The aim of this one-day conference is to continue the reflection on family dynamics, from a comparative perspective (France-Quebec) and in the long-term perspective of the modern and contemporary periods. With the aim of taking stock of the current state of research and laying the groundwork for an international colloquium, the study day proposes to focus on sources, methods and perspectives that make it possible to question the individuality of family actors, the evolution over time of relationships between different family members, and their relationship to family transmission, in both urban and rural worlds.

The Study Day is organized by the History Department of the Université de Sherbrooke and the CRULH (Université de Lorraine), with the support of the Société de démographie historique.
