The Law and Social Change (DCS) Laboratory, a CNRS joint research unit with a legal focus, is dedicated to conducting interdisciplinary research. We analyze the role of the legal phenomenon in the transformations of contemporary society. Law is understood as a social phenomenon—it is both a product of society (its values and conflicts) and a key driver of societal change. The DCS General Seminar is a research seminar focused on recent scholarly reflections and work on contemporary legal issues, with presentations that reflect their authors’ multidisciplinary approaches.
