The research seminar on the history of administrative practices organized as part of the Institut d'histoire du droit (Université Paris Cité) seeks to cross legal and extra-legal approaches to administration from a historical perspective.
The history of administration and administrative law is undergoing a major renewal as a result of the growing attention paid to the materiality of law and the history of its supports, as well as a broadening of research issues crossing legal and social history. The aim of the seminar is to provide a forum for interdisciplinary discussion of research in this field. The different sessions of the seminar are organized around the presentation of past or current research in the field of administrative history or administrative law.
The seminar is open to all interested parties.
