An essential component of the European intellectual revival, the trend known as "legal humanism" (it. Umanesimo giuridico, angl. Legal Humanism, all. humanistische Jurisprudenz), particularly fruitful in the 15th and 16th centuries, is defined by an approach to texts inherited from Roman law that both opposes and complements the medieval traditions of gloss and commentary. Researchers working on legal humanism have decided to set up a working group to bring them together. The aim is to facilitate the convergence, exchange and pooling of resources between the partner specialists, who feel the need to deepen their knowledge in a complementary way and wish to set up a joint, coordinated action in the field of legal humanism. In 2025, the theme of the seminar will be "Legal Humanism and Utopia".
