Industry, development and sovereignty - Conference (on site) on 01 06 2023 - Ministry of Economy (IGPDE) - Paris

On-line 05 04 2023

(Calenda announcement 1062685)

Speakers at this symposium will question the notion of industrial sovereignty at different times: What resources were mobilized? Which sectors are protected? What assessment can be made of the policies conducted over the long term? What lessons have been learned from failures and successes? Numerous sectors of activity and types of industrial structure will be studied: proto-industry, silk, plant resources, mining and energy (oil, nuclear), armaments, metallurgy, telephony, microelectronics, and automobiles. The topics of safeguarding know-how, development of innovation, financing and taxation of companies, training of engineers and the role of state actors, public companies and European institutions will also be addressed. Finally, the papers will address the question of the scales of intervention: territory, region, nation, Europe, atmosphere.
