This interdisciplinary seminar aims not only to showcase the breadth and richness of gender research, but also to examine the methods, conditions and tools of inquiry. In what ways can gender serve as an operational tool that opens up new fields and new research practices, rather than merely being an additional thematic focus for existing fields and practices? Using which sources and methodological approaches can we then examine it and put it to work, without taking its meaning for granted once and for all?
