So-called intelligent technologies (robots, AI, automated systems) seem to be imposing themselves on us inexorably. The spread of these technologies is giving rise to a veritable collective effervescence, fed by promises, concerns, tales of innovation or enslavement, eschatological scenarios... In this context, it is becoming difficult to distinguish between what is real and what is imaginary. Following on from the Reconfigurations Robotique issue edited by Joffrey Becker and Julien Wacquez for Philosophia Scientiæ magazine, this one-day workshop looks at the effects of these objects in social worlds as diverse as agriculture, industry, military foresight, the game of Go, science fiction and law.
