An essential component of the European intellectual revival, the current known as "legal humanism" (it. Umanesimo giuridico, angl. Legal Humanism, all. humanistische Jurisprudenz), which was particularly fruitful in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, is defined by an approach to the texts inherited from Roman law that both opposes and complements the medieval traditions of gloss and commentary. Researchers working on legal humanism have decided to create a working group that brings them together. The aim is to facilitate the convergence, exchange and pooling of resources among the partner specialists, who feel the need to deepen their knowledge in a complementary way and wish to set up a common and coordinated action in the field of legal humanism.
