The question is to what extent, and by what means, it would be possible to achieve original African rights, free from the influence of French law. Several other questions arise from this interrogation: is this quest for originality realistic or utopian? Wouldn't the crossbreeding of these African laws (hybridization between customs and rules inherited from French law) in certain areas constitute a mark of originality? What is the current extent of the influence of French law on these African laws?
