This study day is part of the European research project AI Remembers, which explores how deep learning and artificial intelligence techniques interact with history, collective memory, and individual memory. The rapid integration of AI into the field of memory raises crucial questions: How do these tools transform the interpretation of sources? What is their impact on public access to history? How can we preserve source criticism in the age of generative models? The conference brings together specialists from the fields of history, computer science, the humanities, and the social sciences, as well as professionals from museums, memorials, and archives. It aims to offer participants a concrete yet critical perspective on the transformations underway, by bringing together fundamental research, practical experience, and ethical reflection.
