Calenda Announcement 1,424,725 (excerpts)
This conference aims to examine the psychologization of violence against women as a heterogeneous process with contrasting effects, one that depends on the type of violence in question, social relationships, and the characteristics of the individuals involved. Delving into the inner lives of victims now makes it possible to bring violence and those responsible to light. The aim will be to examine—within a Francophone sociological context marked by a historical opposition to psychological analyses—the developments within this tradition, particularly within feminist movements, as well as the various sociological approaches to psychology and the definitions of “psychologization” that they employ.
