The doctoral students of the Centre de recherche en histoire comparée européenne (CRHEC) are devoting their sixth study day to the figures of recognized workers from Antiquity to the present day. The aim of this meeting is to invite young researchers to reflect on recognized work over time, by placing its actors in their political, social and economic context. The objective is to question the relationships of distinction and valorization of workers according to the nature of their activity. In this framework, the question of unrecognized work, such as domestic work, militant and invisibilized, will be addressed. A particular interest will also be given to the conditions of access to recognized work, such as professional training.
