  For the fifth edition of its "Cities and Heritage" days, aimed at bringing together research and action, Bordeaux Métropole is devoting its attention to a theme that has already been extensively explored by historians, sociologists and city and regional planning professionals: housing estates. Is the housing estate the heritage of tomorrow? Twentieth-century housing is still in the process of becoming part of our heritage - see, for example, large housing estates. What about suburban housing? The aim is to study its potential for development, its qualities and the obstacles to its densification, in connection with the current revision of the Bordeaux Métropole PLUi and the reorganization of the city within the city (ZAN law).

The DYNAGRO symposium will explore the resilience of these systems in the face of climatic, demographic, land, security and geopolitical pressures, the tensions and compromises between stakeholders, and the adaptations, transitions and transformations at work in these territories. International in scope, the conference will focus on the Sahel, but will also be open to all the world's drylands, with a session dedicated to wetlands.

  To mark the anniversaries of the 1957 and 1987 laws on the employment of people with disabilities, the colloquium aims to revisit the intersection between the fields of work and disability, from the mid-20th century to the present day. In order to contribute to this, this call for papers aims to call on the social sciences by proposing a number of (non-exhaustive) avenues for reflection: the uniqueness and diversity of disability situations; questioning the policies pursued, between protection and inclusion; studying the role of the various players, from legislative development to actual practices; aptitude standards and rationalization of work; processes of downgrading jobs; mobilization of disabled people themselves; international interferences; etc.

  Throughout Africa, the state is constantly at the heart of the dynamics of land regulation. Its status differs according to the position it adopts. Peacemaker or vigilante when it acts as a mediator to neutralize the conflicts that arise; executioner or captor when it uses the means of public power or its legal prerogatives to pre-empt a domain that may or may not be recognized as individual or even community property; broker or facilitator when it acts as a negotiating interface between various parties in the context of market or non-market transactions. In this way, the state appears to be the essential mechanism on which social forces in relation to land ownership are built and built upon, stumbled upon and unravelled.
