On July 7 and 8, 2022, the University Saint-Louis - Brussels hosts the ALTER 2022 Conference, whose theme invites to "Rethinking the institution and de-institutionalization from the disability". This conference aims at unfolding the notion of institution under all its facets and on various scenes, starting from disciplines and sometimes from distinct positions according to the country or the considered disability. It also proposes to question the history, the stakes and the experiences of deinstitutionalization in its different forms, to trace the possible contours of an inclusive society respectful of the freedom of choice of people with disabilities.
