Announcement Calenda 1 380 540

This international, interdisciplinary symposium explores the circulations and uses of medical knowledge in Rousseau's work, placing them in the scientific effervescence of the XVIIIᵉ century. It will bring together specialists in medicine in the Age of Enlightenment as well as specialists in Rousseau's philosophy. It will seek to highlight the theoretical fecundity of the medical field (vitalism, neo-Hippocratism, hygienism) and its influence on Rousseauist anthropology, morality and pedagogy.
