In reference to the memoirs of Henri Froment-Meurice - a diplomat by vocation and a privileged witness to the emergence of the world that emerged from the upheavals of the Second World War and the Cold War - this research seminar entitled "Vu du Quai : séminaire d'histoire diplomatique" (Seen from the Quai: a seminar on diplomatic history) is structured from April to June 2023 in several sessions and will thus explore the French understanding of international issues in the 20th and 21st centuries. The objective is to observe and analyze France's position in international crises and issues. Methodological questions may also be addressed in order to raise awareness of the treatment of French diplomatic sources.
