Drawing on the concepts and methods of the philosopher Jacques Rancière, the proposal consists in conceiving the process of gentrification as a scene of sharing and disagreement. A scene on which the paradox of a constrained access to housing and a shared occupation of public space occurs. Three terms from Jacques Rancière's conceptual landscape help us to circumscribe the scene of gentrification misunderstanding: the sharing of sensibility, the equality of intelligences and dissensus.
