This transdisciplinary colloquium aims to study the dissident/resistance student press produced in the countries of Central Europe, but also outside, on the initiative of students from these countries. From the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries to the end of the Cold War, students played a fundamental role in expressing and organizing resistance and/or dissent to established political regimes, some of which were characterized by the abolition of the democratic and liberal functioning of society.

The student press is an object of study in its own right, and a privileged observatory for gaining a better understanding of the various forms of dissidence and resistance thus expressed. Based on such a corpus, which is still under-analyzed by cultural history today, this symposium proposes a comparative approach, in order to initiate a review of the current state of knowledge on this publishing phenomenon, and to place it in a broader spatio-temporal context.
