This study day will examine the diversity of care needs and representations, as well as the nature and organization of care work in the context of international migration, based on various case studies of populations of Japanese, Vietnamese and Chinese origin residing in Europe (UK and France). The closing conference will offer a critical perspective on care work, linking Asian diasporas and Asia. This event is aimed at researchers and students in the social sciences and humanities (notably gender studies, migration studies, anthropology, demography, sociology, Asian studies), as well as care professionals and the general public.
