These doctoral workshops will provide an opportunity to examine the legal regimes governing animals. Indeed, the plural is appropriate here, as there are a multitude of legal regimes: legal scholarship tends to distinguish between animals close to humans, animals useful to humans, and wild animals. This academic event will thus facilitate discussion on the various legal frameworks governing animals and contribute to a deeper understanding of the complexity of this subject.
