This international symposium explores the links between gender(s) and territory(ies) in the geographical space of the Americas - or Abya Yala - from pre-Hispanic times to the present day. The plurality of the Americas, be it linguistic, political or cultural, calls for a cross-fertilization of perspectives and approaches. This colloquium proposes a multidisciplinary dialogue based on anthropology, sociology, literature, history, geography, political science, archaeology and the study of the arts. It analyzes the dynamics of gender and territory from decolonial and intersectional perspectives.
