2026 program of workshops for the French component of the France-Quebec Research Chair on Contemporary Issues in Freedom of Expression (CNRS/FRQ).
Coordinated since January 2023 by eight co-holders, four in Quebec and four in France, the France-Quebec Research Chair on Contemporary Issues in Freedom of Expression (COLIBEX) aims to develop research and training on freedom of expression, in a collaborative and international dimension. Its aim is to provide researchers, professionals, decision-makers and the general public with tools for thinking about, exercising and framing this freedom.
Organized into transnational networks, this collective chair is organized around four axes: the first addresses the issue of regulating freedom of expression in relation to fundamental human rights and democracy (axis 1); the other three deal more specifically with its relationship with religion (axis 2), knowledge (axis 3) and creation (axis 4).
