This symposium, organized by Blanche Lormeteau and Louis de Fontenelle, will take place at the CNRS, Paris, on June 12 and 13, 2025. Theories of justice have left their mark on the history of political philosophy and law, and hence on societies. In the environmental field, environmental justice is the first form of justice to have been conceptualized and enshrined by doctrine and public authorities. Other forms have followed, such as climate, energy and food justice. The aim of the symposium is to understand and work on these various forms of justice. More broadly, the aim is to analyze the definitions and methods developed to identify environmental, climate, energy and food vulnerabilities, including their correlative dimensions, and to critically analyze their effectiveness and propose corrective measures.
