The stakes and scope of the ecological transition are both transversal and global. Transversal first of all, because there is no field of society that is not shaken by the rise of this issue, and especially the sphere of work. It has become clear that the ecological transition calls into question the workings of our capitalist societies. And yet, the latter are linked to the wage-earning system and to the social law that underpins it. Secondly, it is global, because although the symposium is primarily concerned with developments in French and European Union labor law, its effects extend beyond national and European borders, since companies are part of a globalized economy, and environmental protection must now be considered on a planetary scale. The aim of this symposium is therefore to analyze the transformations in social regulations resulting from the ecological transition.
